Super Sunday

Today was awesome! Though it was just any usual Sunday, I just love it. Haha! In the morning, I woke up feeling fresh. But one thing bad was that I had to dread my sickening soul to work. Had some pushups and finally, I told myself: Wow, nice start. So perhaps, or truly, I haven’t had any pushups lately, if not just a few. Had a few sip of milk and cookies and I set off to work.

Day 2 at work

5 Lock Road. That's the place. Come'on it must be the 5th safest place. Haha! Brazil Churasco. Ended up in the same network again. Few months back, I worked at Seven on Club, Club Street, at Raffles Place. I escaped the other outlet at 6th Ave, who knows I’m so sway can’t skip working here. Nonetheless it was really a good experience, with wonderful atmosphere and good people. Very high tech kitchen bigger than one typical three-room flat. So, it was their official opening day! Congratulations...! It’s really a BAR...! 3rd outlet by the same group of bosses, and the newest restaurant features white-and-orange coloured theme – everything from the wall, tables and chairs, to the decor. A wonderful improvement from the previous ones, I realized. Imagine a place that can seat 100 pax and still allows ample spaces for its staff to wonder about freely. That's call BIG. Because big is beautiful. Muahahaha. Like shit...

Handphone at work

I worked. In contrast, my U700 is being worked on. I sent it for repair on Thurs for the same old tales and hopefully I can get it back completely functional (or shiny who knows). So without this live support system I can’t live life to the fullest. I enjoyed working in the beautiful restaurant, yet silly-ly could not snap any picture. You know how hopeless was I?? No photos only potatoes. Si gin nah. I had balls and balls of baby potatoes until bloated and still not a single photo. Sick. Damn.

Home sweet home

Knock off! 6pm and I left the restaurant. I simply enjoy walking in such an environment lah – deserted lanes in a lush tropical setting, and with the companion of a few occasional houses, cars and people made the journey less lonely. Bunch of birds flew pass and that set my thoughts wondering around and away - to a dream far-away island from a bird’s eye view, where everything is mine, minE, MINE!!. My QashQai was there. One lady waved at me and just then a coconut fell off its tree. Ouch! But still, the dream was great and relaxed until one car swift passed me, only then realized I was there – bus stop. By then, I was preparing for a good nap once I got onboard the bus. Just so dead and beat. By the way, the coconut and lady were in the dream still. Here I come!

Simply a relaxed Sunday, minus those physical strains I got from moving around non-stop from working. Here I come, lady!

Blogger or Blogging?

So sick of blogging already. Final entry. No more. So sick. And tired.

Umpteen times I thought, that I said 'this would be my last time making new entries'. I continued anyway. For so many times before. So don't trust me. Ok?

Lotsa topics to talk about! But I think just by saying how much I hated blogging for the time being makes up one post. Smart eh? opps.

So today, Teacher Me is not going to teach you econs. Rather, blogging trend! Like the business cycles, we bloggers follow a similar pattern. There'll always be a fall in interest to blog after a hitting a peak. And when you fall till the trough, you'll either abandon it for awhile, or close it indefinitely. Some people may change your blog skin. Cos you're real tired of the appearance of it. So after you get in contact with things of your interest (called 'stimuli') you'll restart blogging, and from there it continues. Back to the 'recovery' phase and peak.

Interesting huh! Ask me why? I'd want to ask you.

Be Happy

Today, Chet sent me another email. It reads:

Today we turn to Arnaud Desjardins, who writes...

Terrible or not, difficult or not, the only thing that is beautiful, noble, religious, and mystical is to be happy.

This week, focus on being happy.

To do that, take three or four long, slow, deep breaths, focus on the pauses between breaths, and feel yourconsciousness shift to that still, quiet, happy placewithin each of us.

Isn't it amazing how much happier you can be when you turnyour attention inward?

Nissan Qashqai

New Nissan QashQai (Pronounced as 'cashkai') is the first Nissan to be designed and made in the EU, and finally it has arrived in Singapore! Dreams aside, it doesn't concern me whether it is here anyway. But I just like the style - SUV-like boldness, premium look, wow! "Engaging cockpit design, smooth handling and a comfortable ride make the QASHQAI feel more like a sport sedan." At least S$85k, I think it will continue to be a dream.

Pocolento Blows A Candle!

At last, Pocolento blows its first ever candle!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Poco.. A.. Poco .......
Happy Birthday to you!

However you sing it it's ok! It's just a way to recognise the presence of this blog! I've had quite a number of blogs, but all of them had only little number of completed posts. One of them was specially made for a person whom I had special feeling for. The others were simply just blogs as they are. So I guess Pocolento will have a long live! As a cybergift for little poco, here's a special birthday post! If you want to give him a gift of heart as well, you may click on the left ad and visit the site! (hehehe)

So for the last 365 days, I've created 73 entries. These 73 entries weren't here just as they did. I spent time and effort, ok! So let's pick out what's worth mentioning:

Top 10 Most Memorable Posts

Here are the top 10 most memorable posts. They're not ranked, so every post is just as worthy to remember. And those entries that are not chosen here don't mean they're bad or not memorable but, well, just that these are the MOST memorable!

Happy Fathers' Day (View)

Just recently, my family and I went to celebrate Fathers' Day at Marche. Had a great meal and also, enjoyed a great created scene. A couple, who had left an abundance of food on their table during their buffet session and left for good, got scolded by the restaurant's manager. Interesting yea? But what's more interesting in the post is that - at the begining of the post there're a few short paraphrases that described my joy of being the first-time owner of the new Chevrolet - somehow got misunderstood by really many friends who questioned my ability, while others blinked again and again the green, green eyes.

Perhaps they didn't understand this 3rd para - ...in greatness and fanfare, which no doubt... has nullified all the aforementioned inverted facts in the statement full of prevarication given my current state and capacity in apparency. I shall once again introduce to you the new Chevrolet NA a.k.a the Chevrolet N/A. I saw at a huge mall btw. I shall now disect them.

nullified all the aforementioned inverted facts - All lies!
in the statement full of prevarication - All lies again!
given my current state and capacity in apparency - My financial ability as a student, how far can it go?
Chevrolet N/A - N/A = NOT APPLICABLE
I saw it at a huge mall! - should i also explain this?

So now may I have the honour to declare - I ain't the owner! Phew...

Trip to Genting Highland(View)

A recent trip to Genting with my parents in May 08. Nice video!

Botak Jones (View)

This was my first time dining at Botak Jones and I didn't really find it good, probably because of the sickness the 0.5KG of beef gave me. Someone even called these three patties 'a pile of poo'.

Labrador's And My Unique Visitors(View)

Trip to Labrador Park at Pasir Panjang for an overnight camp with fellow khakis. A memorable local vacation! Plus an introduction of the voices behind the MRT announcements and some artistic photographs.

1998 2008 9808 (View)

Why all numbers? Come, let me explain.

1998 and 2008 are the years and 2008 being this year, 1998 is of course exactly ten years ago. So 9808 was used to contrast the ten-year period. Partly, the usage of numbers comes from the idea which created the movie '881'. Quite a special post, cos' quite emo yea? All about childhood. Do read it!

New Hairstyle, Somehow (View)

I went for a haircut that morning and had expected a new hairstyle, which later turned out to be of otherwise - not much of a change. Then later, while on my way to other places I met a blind man with a stick who later, surprisingly, showed me the directions when I, a tall man without the stick, should be the one doing it.

Meat Your Meat, Anyone? (View)

I had a day of vegetarian diet which I had long ago wanted to have, just that I lacked commitment. So a very special day to commemorate. But sadly, after this day I've never given myself another chance to the next vege-day. But having done so for once, I have ever since, notably, been consuming less of meat items. Yes, much less.

This effort comes by the fact that our poor animals are really suffering, and they will forever be. I just don't agree that human beings think we have the RIGHTS to eat them. Just a privilege. We fear slashes on our throats and so will they. Everyone feels the pain just as we do. What's more, they suffer more than just these slashes, but during and throughout their lives in the cages. So at our part, let's appreciate ok? If you can't skip.

A Trip To USA(View)

For the first time, i had a trip to USA! But before you start your green eyes rolling, let me tell you a fact: It's a virtual trip!

So literally (and virtually) I became the character, CJ (herein 'I'), in the game, GTA san andreas. I drove quite some luxury cars to wherever furthest the map allowed me to do so. There were many places of interests that you may want to see. Though it's a virtual tour, I enjoyed! You too, I hope.

NDP NE Show 3 (View)

For the first time, I volunteered to become a Bay Ambassador for the NDP 07. During the rehearsals, I went to many primary schools on different saturdays and escorted them to the venue. So for this school, Grace Orchard, the students are ain't any normal counterparts. They are mildly disabled. More memorable was that they could relate to you very well although I was just by their sides for less than half a day. It's the hearts that did the trick, I thought.

NDP 2007 (View)

Actual day of NDP after so many rehearsal (more than 5). I would say dealing with the public was much more difficult that those cheeky little P5 children. Every little nuts could well become their main subject for complaints, frustrations, and grudges. All these, however, had turned out to be a good experience (once-in-a-lifetime perhaps) with all the fellow bay ambassadors. Our fun never ends, but sadly, our ties did.

Happy birthday, Pocolento!

Someone's Attached...

Wa! Oh oh...

This post isn't about anything sour but just full of best wishes but, frankly and however, a little bit of anger. Haha!

So somebody, or rather two people, now becomes one! And, this is not the main point actually, but just that, we're kept in the dark until sunrise! Haha! Ok lor, liddat lor. Future eye for an eye might do the trick huh!

Laugh out loud.
