Hello!

Hello.

I'm so excited yet so bored. Or bored about the excitment. Because the excitement is nothing interesting. In conclusion, i'm just bored even in the world of excitment.

What should I do? I can't blog with boredom, or you'll get bored too. I care, what about you?

This is the first week of the new semester and I swear to ace all modules. I'm prepared to narrow the fringe of the circle just so for concentration. I'm heating up. Get really heated to boil. But what's always said wasn't really done, so perhaps, though written, shouldn't be treated too seriously in order to treat it seriously.

Having some new classmates isn't always a bad thing, sometimes worse. But this time it's great. I'm delighted. But then again, what's always said wasn't really so, perhaps, take these words not seriously.

Somebody suggested vegetarian, with reference cum info to the previous post. Should I? I think partially will do. I still want my breakfast with an egg. What about the scallops in the freezer? Salmon? I gonna have them in no time.

Hear them chick, feel them moan, hear all the more will you feel for them. On the plate, under your knives, off they went right into your mouth. Touch your tummy, realise your consciences, think of how they giggled inside you. But no matter what, enjoy till the day they find you down.

Just back from my attachment at this food company. Now that I'm off their custody, I'm gonna blurt things out, as promised in the previous posts. Ironically, I was responsible for the increase in sale of pork and beef because I did part of the promotion campaign for the brand. I was also part of the team creating a new brand for their premium beef products. New packaging, new brand name, new positioning, new image, and new strategies.

Nonetheless, it was fun. 101 photos will be uploaded in the next few weeks. Stay tuned? Don't. Just come back by then.

Ribbye!

Aftermath

Today, let's discuss about the 'END'. Yes, the end of something, something, or just something. Rather, everything.

To you, ten mins may be just less important than your hour.
To you, ten mins may be the time you dozed off on your couch.
To you, ten mins may be just reading a section of your book.
To you, ten mins may only mean the count of ten ticks on your clock.

But to them, ten minutes they can't escape, can't eat and drink too.

To them, these ten minutes were their first sunshine, and the last.
These chickens and ducks 'graduated' from their college of farm after few months in there of sufferings (not just like any one of us in school), after retiring from laying eggs and producing their little chicks or ducklings. Finally, it's their meat.

After these few ticks, off they would be slashed in the throat and down the scalding hot water.

Moments later, they'd be bagged and you'll see them on your plate. Ahh... Sorry, food. The reason why I felt so, is because I hear them quack and chirp every morning and ever since, I started to hear these quacks and chirps in the meat on my plate. Often I could't finish then.

Once again, please appreciate your food and not waste.

Let's move on.

This is the Commonwealth Cinema complex just next to Clementi Station. Probably the older ones should know, cos it's been there since long long time ago. Some younger ones, like me, would have asked 'why the hell is it not torn down yet?'. With so many cracks, some probably not even visible, it is no wonder that it must be grounded today. I guess it had lived more than 30 years.

So the sight today is like this (above). Just in about two weeks, this building will be completely demolished, making way for the new shopping complex, condo and bus interchange!

Guys, let us now come back to food. So ashamed to say that this time, I did wasted some food. Why? I didn't dare to eat. So the waste. Why did I not dare to eat? You look at it yourself:

You eat pork. Some don't. But will you eat a pig whose short lifetime is yet shortened for a portion of your stomach not even 1/20 filled? Ladies and gentlemen, this is a piglet.

I don't think I wish to say 'people, please enjoy the succulent piece of belly meat, suck the eyes, dig the ears and bite the flaps'. Did I just say 'suck the nose or kiss the lips'?

I died in agony and pain. You cut and eaten me in happiness, yet.

So the next picture might drive you equally crazy. The cat killed the rat. But the cat didn't eat the rat and instead, it went off. The sad rat died and lied on the ground. I thought the cat had its lunch.

The bird fell. Its life too. The green bird died. Eyes open wide. (birds got no eyelid anyway). Stiffed. Abandoned. This dead bird again was shot, this time by my camera.

Or, me to for. Aww, metour four. Dong, dong. Dang.

Quotable Quotes

A very unusual post but no doubt, it is special. Haha. First thing first, let us explore weida's blog on the West Coast Park's camp nite.

Weida says:
"anyway we still have the egg mayo and the crabstick thingy tat
zy made.. haha.. so we bought one loaf of gardenia bread to go there and
Kiap lo..
"
Thanks for the credit! Anyway, 2 hours were spent to boil, crack, smash, taste, and pack the eggs as well as the 'imitated' seafood salad. The egg salad is the first time I've made with some orange juice and some of its pulps so create a tangy flavour. Some gounded peppercorns and black pepper flakes gave it a good taste, and certainly with the help of the jap's mayo.

For the seafood salad i used a chopping board instead of blender to save hassles but I realised it's equally fuzzy. Added some raisins and it's ready to serve!

"we ate the sandwiches tat zy have prepared (THX AH ZY OLD MAN) ! both the egg one and the crabstick ones are delicious, i was thinking which one is better but both have its own merits, soo.. in conclusion both are nice ! "
Thank you weida the youngster, haha i'm the ahpek so glad to hear the nice feedback. Thank you thank you!!!

"and as usual, i would take hell lots of pics as the color is very nice.. and the clouds as well.. so i jiu take pics and walk ard, by the sea and stuffs for 20mins, b4 going back to the tent to wake them up with full volume of my handphone "Zhou Da Xie" then they jiu ganna woke by me le.. haha.. "
So sad I didn't have a chance to see the rise for the day. I just love it too but at the same time missed it. and when i was awaken by that tofu song, i thought the mosquitos have evaded and finished eating the tofus. Simply hate mosquitos and ants who once evaded my old room.

Visit http://l-uomo.blogspot.com/ for a complete post of my west coast park camp post! Which I didn't have much mood to blog more about.

Oh no I think i'm not only getting yet another inch on my tummy but also, older. Many people (three) nowadays call me ah pek or uncle or sth else which I think you do not want to hear unless you want a good laugh.

Maturity? Or decline? Hmm.......

Ok anyway, look at another blog.

Weng Kin says:
"gt a wide board and fr dere we nid to jump to a thin wooden thingy with the distance in between quite far, but its nt impossible. ha another CHALLENGE."

It was indeed a challenge, more so for a physically challenged. Not me though, I'm physically fit. Oh ya ah ah ya. But who knew what has happened, maybe it was simply too dark? WTF? Nonsense. Excuses. But no matter what, ignorance is indeed bliss. At least for now.

Luckily...
"we had a race as usual up and down the spider pyramid."
I did climb up till the tip, not just top. So I overcame my fear of height, and I never have climbed anywhere above the half during my visits few years back. So I did it. Although I wasn't the fastest, it's definitely ok!!! (scroll right to the top for the reason why...) Claps... Please!! muahahaahahah

Sorry for quoting and if you don't accept, just quote mine! Bye!

Just sad that i'm more ahpek lately. Or ever since.

Gone Away For A Moment

Just few days ago
I sent it away
For hope it will come back
Guess you don't even know
I'm dying for you
You're my element
You're my life
When I saw you
I thought something'd happen
A fire or a funeral
Or a fire and a funeral
But just to mention
It's just my phone that I'd sent off
For repair by the technician
Because it lost its life
And I lost mine too

Let me reiterate how the hell I've felt during these few days without my lovable handphone. Firstly, no favourite songs and photos. Second, no camera, no camcorder. Third, no mirror on the go. Forth, no favourite Gatsby Gatsby alarm clock. Fifth, calender's missing. Sixth and quite important, phone contacts lost so I couldn't contact most people now.

So can you feel the lost in me now? Just hope it'll be back just so soon. Back in a colour not smilar to the previous - a black one. Someone promised me that they'll change the entire phone to black just so it'll not peel ever again, but was then told by the staff this is impossible. I told her it is more impossible for the operator to lie. I called back. I won.

So these few days please pardon me for which I'm away just for a moment although anyone can contact me still.

Yesterday, it was finally an outing with the Cheers people. So fun it was. Yan Tao was there, so were Clement, Sheena, Seow Wei, Yong Jie and Grace. We had pastas at pastamania and I ordered the tako-pachi - japanese pasta. So nice it was. Further we went till paragon, along the street we chatted all way long. Again, some envy grew upon as one by one took out their mobiles (or multi-function life support system I call it) and took down the moments for memories. I couldn't. So I talked more.

Talked and talked, we ended up at balcany. Balcany it was. A bar, a pub, a club, or a yard i just couldn't differentiate. So I just did go with the flow. They ordered some fanciful drinks, so did I. No alcohol though. For the results I will hold. Seow wei talked her heart out. we listened. Questions at times. We were all heartened. Some shattered. Left at 11. The sky was dark, as before and after. Took a bus home. And it took me only 30mins to get into the bathroom and that was really fast. Anyway, I felt just the lost without my mobile.

That morning, I went to school with weida. Did the CSP things. Registered for classes. Just to have found out by instinct, that I will not have class with the old ones.It is the really old ones that I will go to. Strange? Not at all.

From here please rewind further back. We went from coasts to coasts and finally on last saturday, we landed ourselves on west coast. It's another camp following the previous one at Labrador Park. We had fun. They had more fun. Cos I couldn't do it. Never before, and perhaps, never will. Mosquito bites, humid weather, stuffy, and the list goes on. Or rather, just wasn't there is something call mood. I missed the morning sun and only to find out that the day was missed. I had the rest of the hours in misery, though not really. hahhaaha

Just found out from some digital feelings that someone or two had visited my blog. If you see this, please remember to accept my - welcome here(!). This is provided you know me AND I know you. Not for some cheats who come here just to tap on the hits i've achieved and advertise for FREE here. I'll reject any comment found to be of such a misuse and insult to pocolento. Serve you right!

IPP is ending soon, in just 12 working days, or two weeks. So gotta cherish the moment here cos I know I won't come back here after graduation. I can't tell how much boredom i'm experiencing here but opps, did I just said something? No I didn't. I'll only blurt out EVERYTHING just AFTER the last day at work here. I'm aware of the conditions.

Straight after that will be a new school semester. Everything will be new once again, including aquaintences and representitives. My usual PEM will leave this designation, and we are already missing our emotions for her. I wrote a letter and it says:

Dearest Ms Angela

I just want to inform that you've been a very good PEM for the past two
semesters who have been so caring and always devote your precious times to
whoever that approached you and made us then the priority of yours. Though you
did not teach us, we've learnt from you the precious interpersonal skills and
other observations like your organization skill. Due to that fact, we thus did
not have had much time seeing each other however not withstanding this, you knew
most of us and gave us the most that you could. Therefore, I sincerely wish to
thank you for your care and guidance in the past one year. I hope everything
will be fine at both our ends, and still sees each other ever after graduation.
We appreciate.

To my utmost gratitude.

Zhenyu

And here's her reply the next day:

Hi Zhenyu,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is indeed my pleasure to be your PEM. I am so happy to have the opportunity to be with you all for the past one year. I was so impressed when so many of you were interested in the OIPP, and from there ... I knew I have been with a class of students who value learning opportunity and continuous seek for improvement. With such good attitude, I can see that most of you from the class will have a bright and exciting future. Do keep in touch, as I would love to hear that all of you are able to find good promising jobs or get into top universities ... and that will be the most rewardable kind of job statisfaction to me.

Warmest regards,
Angela

So sad for words. More so for the parting souls. It's, nonetheless, going to move on and so must we. Moving on to Mr Alan. Once my PEM and again for this sem.

What an emo post? Haha. Smile at last. =)

Botak Jones!

"Quite a few of our customers have commented on the wastage, especially of our fries due to the amount we serve. We have reducred the amount to cut down the waste. However should you want more fries than we now serve, just ask for more fries when you order. We are glad to comply, at no charge."

Yes, that was it. It's their promise by the way. And it was not just the fries. There was so much of a portion on the plate such that nobody leaves that place without a stomach fully filled up. Botak Jones, despite, is never botak. The size and quantity of its dishes too had left us all bloated after that, and not just full! With that, our tummies turned into the size of a butt.

Indeed a dish that doesn't only raise eyebrows, but also for a jaw-dropping experience. And look! It's so fresh (as if) with the horns of the bull still intact, what more it is straightened! Haha just kiddin... Lamer~

There was a long queue and we expected a longer waiting time. So because of that, I ordered the largest of its kind to create some worth for the wait - You Crazy What!!?!?. That is the name of the dish! It follows the previous two kinds - The Botak Burger (1 layer patty) and The Double Botak (2 layers patty). So the 3 patties of minced beef each a whopping 150gm and all in all the 450gm, or 0.45KG, of beef was tucked down my tummy. Not just, there were also salad, burger bread and FRIES!

Three patties, altogether as one, is already bigger than some faces i guess HAHAHAA!
Definitely bigger than my mouth, what!!!!

Clockwise from top: Yong Ren's Fish & Chips, Weng Kin's Double Botak, and my You Crazy What!?!

I reluctantly pushed the remaining patty into my mouth and finally, everything's gone from the plate. Maybe from then on, I will never order anything more than 2 patties ever again. It's just purely another sinful deed done to myself.

I felt even more of this way when just now someone told me that from the first picture, why the hell am I sniffing a pile of poo. Really??!?

Seemingly quite. I shattered...

Jokes aside, you may ask: "is it really that good?" Hmm... It is actually and truly up to any personal preference, and mind you, your past experience, which affects your expectation, does matter here too. It would be however interesting to note that there wasn't any adjective that have described the quality of the taste, despite the great fanfare over the fresh way of presentation.

Just to mention that few days after having it, I've become a little bit better than totally crazy! I crazy what...!!!!

Labrador's, and My Unique Visitors

It's been two weeks, so before the another trip comes up next, I'd better say something about it now!

It was a Friday night and we were amongst some nature campers who had built our own shelters and pirch not on a tree branch but on the ground. Other nature campers, i would say, are the permanent residents there unlike us. So it is to say, we were the only human beings there who set up a tent. In a nature reserve.

But who cares, as long as we see no regulations on the website. It only stated the places where campings are allowed.

It was Friday so I was at work for the whole day long before quenching my thirst for this sort of excitement. Although I was dreading my tired soul, once again, it was offset by such great feeling. Muahahhaha. Photos! Expect photos! Real photos! I'm not lying. We went to IMM for dinner and then bought tonnes (not really) of sushis, a pandan chiffon cake, some drinks and a Mamee snacks (and are still in my drawer now) as reserves. So happily we danced to the bus stop for the bus that goes there. Once alighted, we had fun too, but this time was the search for the place. I remembered the route there cos during my childhood years, my dad often brought me there for fishing. But somehow the place had become a construction site, so I couldn't remember a thread.

Before we reach Labrador Park (picture), we took a long walk through a somehow deserted passageway, with a private yet empty land on the left, a jungle hugely a jungle on the right. Occasional cars with dipped headlamps calmed our emotions as they went passed us.

We waited for wengkin for quite somewhile at this bus stop before taking that erie walk. Yc had his dinner full of fries and fries on a bus stop bench. Just then a bus, tall enough to house Jackie Chan the hollywooder and even Yao Ming the China basketball tallest star, drove into the bus stop and stopped next to us. Let's first imagine Yc hasn't taken his fries together with the exhaust fumes from the idling bus. Lights switched off, but not the engine, so you can imagine how noisy and smelly it was.

But then it just took 15mins to depart so I believe yc didn't really ate much of the fumes. Phew... Mr Lucky or not?

So for the entire night, none of us slept except for some, like, pig, piglet, or maybe just it's sty if you're halal. But not as if there were many people (lol). Before any game, my brain was down(not as usual). Our brains were up from the first game on.

In the morning just before dawn, we enjoyed the fresh and cool air and saw great sceneries. We enjoyed. Even the Mas Alamak. Whose posters are now still around I suppose. Now I know how to get a personalised poster!

Enjoy the photos to enjoy what we've enjoyed, although you can't really do that

The waves just before dawn were stronger. Maybe to start a new day strong?

Route to nowhere. WHY? To the horizon? No. It's fenced.

Yeow chong emo emo.......

Weida elmo elmo......

It's vivacious. Full of liveliness.
It's the vivacity. Is there Vivocity as well?
There's sentosa's cable car tower by the way.

ArtisticPHOTOS (To me at least.)

My Unique Visitors!

The next one is not part of the ArtisticPHOTOS but if you really wish to think so, please. And thank you! Cos... my blog has hit an all-time high of 125 unique visits just for the just last week! Never before, probably not never will. This does not include the repeated ones. There were 25 hits on 30 apr itself! Followed by 21 on 31 Apr. Mostly from Singapore, then followed by United states, and other countries. OMG. Just can't imagine my stuff is being heard on the other end of the globe.

Just some more things else to delight you more. This is definitely the result of my everyday on the net!
Introducing......

Hey who's this mature lady, you might just blurt out. So let me intro. *Drumroll....* She's Juanita Melson! but... who the heck?? You may not know her by face, but definitely you can by her voice if you travel often. Not as in travel around the world, just in our MRT would have done. She's been the one for the past 10 years who is always at your ears while you're comfortably onboard. Yea right, she's the person behind (or inside the train, for some children) the voice-over announcements. Cool rite? Door's closing... Next Stop... Etc.
But if you now then decide to notice more of her voice the next time you board the SMRT train, you'd better appreciate more because the train company is now in the midst of 'upgrading' her voice to that of a younger and more singaporean-er lady. So very soon there won't be her deep voice and british-accent pronounciations anymore.
However if you enter some lift in HDB or somewhere, you may still hear her =)
And coming up next, same company SMRT but it's just so strange. If you ever spot this taxi or good enough, boarded such taxi, inform me ok! If just so facinating and amazing to see a subaru taxi in the livery of our very familiar company! I saw this somewhere - on the net. This is probably an effort by some netizens, haha. But I don't think there's even one of those on our roads.

Please dont't sue me for this, someone else did this!

Imagine you'd reach your destination 20KM away within 2mins. Simply by drifting throughout the way! No need fare meter. Pay per trip or Km. If not the driver will be damn rich!
And lastly, its about transportation too! This time a picture of a bus. It's equally amazing to see such bus with so nice seating arrangements, IN SINGAPORE. Like a limousine with bar kind of seats, you'd probably enjoy much more the next time you bored ths bus with a group of friends. Its an effort by sbs, this is the newest bus of its fleet.

1998 2008 9808

I stumbled upon the moment after I hand written today's date.

1 April '08

There is no any special sentiment i have to share for this date, although I can't deny today's April's Fool day. However this is not the reason why I whimmed my eyes and started to recall those days.

As I wrote the year numbers 0 8, I remembered very clearly how I used to write '98' in a well-mannered form in class. It was ten years ago, and a decade has past. Every single letter and number would be as if they were crafted, so neat and tidy. Unlike today. Cos I was then a primary 3 boy. Also a boy whose achievements could well be more than that of his today.

At a Sport's Day, I used to participate in the Short Put race and in that year, I received the Bronze Medal, following the previous year's consolation award. Not only in that year, I practically participated in at least one event for every of the rest of the five sport's days. For Volley Ball competition, though I did not however win any of those medals, my team scored well. For I was being fit but not fat. At a swimming carnival, I wouldn't forget the very moment when I nearly was drown to, say, maybe death. The pool was deep, but I wasn't long enough yet. The 'go' whistle had gone off long ago and I was physically struggling as the timer ticked so helplessly. Fortunately a true 'helping hand' got me from death. I held on tightly on the fingers, got up and limbed off. She was someone whom, however, I didn't recognise at the least clearly. My team lost.

Every single school day without fail, there'd always be some stupid intra-class soccer matches at the parade square. No proper attires, no proper ettiques, or rather no proper languages or rules, and also, no proper 'ball'. We did not have soccer jersey nor any soccer shoe, who always ended up seeing fights and quarrels and sometimes being repremanded and got a seat at the special viewing gallery - outside of the class looking through the lourves windows. Somtimes, a trick or two did bring in victory, and then as though nothing had happened. We kicked not a soccer ball but a donated empty coca-cola bottle by someone who's rich who drank his cola everyday. At the end of the game, the bottle-ball wouldn't be called a bottle anymore. I would be out of shape, cracked and then ended up in the trash. Though stupid, it was real fun.

When it's not time for the game or matches, I'd head to the drinks stall and get a cup of grass jelly drink that cost a mere 15c, which is already a whopping 25% off my daily allowance, for a girl i fancied since week 1 in primary 1. I did not know why but every single drop had reached down her gullet, as if it tasted so sweet as the giver. Sometimes we would head to the backyard and feed the roosters with the freshly plucked grasses and pieces of cuttlefish, happily with the grass-jellies still sweetly in our stomachs. Oops, did I say we shared the drinks too?

I also remember how Ronald the mcdonalds who 'made a smile' every day who dominated the class and became the most hilarious and popular boy. Leslie couldn't win him, but could complement his actions and became the two most sought after entertainers. The form teacher laughed at times too.

And Raymond. He's probably the one everybody wouldn't forget. This little plum boy argued with the teachers since P1, and even scolded, he has got guts! So natuarally he'd spent most of his school days in the detention room a.k.a. lock-up room, dark room, or we called it 'jail'. No bars but only a gate and four walls. Some of us would secretly visit him during recess time and often than not we were caught for our actions. Nothing was done however.

Amid all these, everybody nonetheless did their homeworks and handed up on time, especially me (!), and everybody had fun. Mua Ha Ha.

It's simply a childhood so memorable.

Looking at today, I'm sitting comfortably in this air-conditioned office. Though it's only an attachment, I've grown. I stared into the space and wondered for a moment: am I not or appreciating what I'm having now, as much as a decade ago? But then definitely I've not achieved much in the past ten years although it did seem to be passing easily every year. So why the remourse if nothing was innitiated. It is always 'better late than never'. So for the next five years, I'm going to do the many things not done in the last 10 years. Sounds tight? It is. So if you're still young, or younger than me, try as much as possible to make your life called your own worth every sense and time!

Not to mention to those older than me, it's still the same repeated old phrase: better be late than never.

It's 2008.

I returned.
