Top Five Best Places To Get Recharged

Following the recent article about it on Newman mag, I've come up with a complimentary version on WHERE you can actually go to take a free or low-cost, yet comfortable short nap while on the go (without people giving you that strange stare).

I think these are best options with best possible privacy.

5 - Parks

Totally FOC, you can put your mind completely at ease if you're the kind of people who is not allergic to the elements, like rain or some black-and-white droppings. Some green. The benches can be used to sit upright (or even lie down cos who cares!) and dose off rightaway.

Ups: Free, fresh air.
Downs: Exposed to elements, can be uncomfortable, no aircon.

4 - Singapore Flyer

Fly into the sky, right from beside the bay and around the rocketed buildings. All these while asleep. Sounds good? With a cabin totally for yourself, it does! You won't get any uneasy stare from the two neighbouring capsules too - they'll just be as engrossed as you do, but at the sceneries instead. It can be considered a splurge if you're just there to nap, though.

Ups: Complete privacies, Air-conditioned, quiet.
Downs: Downright expensive, too bright (even at night), no curtains, only 45mins.

3 - Bus/MRT Ride

Quite a hassle-free option if you're really desperate for an instant recharge. You pay at most $2 for a good good sleep - all in air-conditioned comfort! For bus, choose those services that loop at somewhere so the driver will not get the chance to wake you up anytime soon. If you think bus ride is not for you, MRT is much better. For a smooth sound sleep, hop onto any train because most trains run from end to end for hours. Just choose the long line for a long sleep, short ones likewise for a quick nap. Don't worry about the cost - you'll, at the most, get fined only $2 for exceeding the time limit!

Ups: Economy, Air-conditioned, own-time-own-target.
Downs: Motion-sickness, may get lost if you're not location-savvy, train may end service just when you're in your sweetest dreams.

2 - Cinemas

There are a number of cinemas in town area which offer a range of services - from normal cinemas to gold class ones. The Cathay at Dhoby Ghuat offers excellent theatres at a price that matches. The Picturehouse offers seats that you'll for sure feel very much at home, or even in business-class airlines. Golden village at Vivocity has the Europa and Gold Class theatres. Similar to the former, they can also offer good rest at reasonable prices. If you can't sleep there cos you're a avid movie lover who can't move your eyes an inch off the screen, then get a boring show instead - to aid you into your dreamland!

Ups: Posh and comfortable seats, accoustic setting, 'movie-on-demand', reasonable prices (for normal ones).
Downs: Relatively high prices(for others). Scary sounds (if in a paranormal film)

P.s.: Just don't get spotted for snoring!

1 - Super Class Hotel ('s Restroom)

Yes, here you go. Most right-minded people who want a quick nap wouldn't check into a five- or six- stars hotels because of price factor. But we can get an equally good rest in them - the toilets. I'm not joking! Turn the gold-plated door nob and hide into a cubicle. Most of them have burning scented essential oils, clean fresh towels, and classy decors. Some even have Better than your homes I guess. For example The Fullerton and The Marriott.

Ups: Free(!), posh, water supply, 'loo-on-demand', soothing essential oil.
Downs: It's toilet, boy. Pray hard there's nobody 'detoxifying' near or next to your cubicle!
