I took train all the way to AMK for coach boarding. As in the receipt, we were entitled for luxury coaches for both ways because we've upgraded our ride. A 'CEO platinum cruiser' by WTS travel has motorised aircraft seatings and a personal entertainment system. Quite a nice thingy to have for an especially long and winding journey.
For this entire trip, we ate, slept, shopped, ate, and again and again, till I found some gain. Trust me it's true.
When approaching the highway towards Pahang at KL, a slight jam slowed us down. But nonetheless we still arrived earlier than stated and, most importantly, safely. Henceforth we became the first 20 in the check-in queue, which the worst scenario could be a wait of at least 3 hours. While waiting, we had a buffet lunch at Coffee Terrace where they featured the Singapore Food Promotion, with two giant Merlion statue guarding the entrance. I felt a gust of familiar hospitality as if at home, so we entered. I would say the food is better than those at our local hawker centers! But not all though.
After check in, we visited Ripley's Believe it or not museum. Very interesting exhibits like the one in Hong Hong's The Peak. Rm18 per adult, considered cheap for a musuem visit. 3 hours were spent there, sky has turned dark. It wasn't cold until night falls.
That's it for the first day! Cos' there wasn't really much things to do within Genting itself. Looking forward to day 2's KL trip! Just before movie, we went Sushi King, where I had a share of their Unagi Fest! And after the movie, with nothing else to do, we sat at a cafe holding on to my mocha and some danish. Sip by sip in the midst of the chilly and foggy air. Cool. Just that it didn't snow.
This is the first movie we had - On His Majesty's Secret Service (大内密探灵灵狗). It has a hilarious setting for almost all parts of the approximately 100mins show. The entire audience (full occupancy everyday!) giggled and laughed as if everybody poked one another non-stop. Everything was damn funny! The best part was that a 'premium' movie ticket cost only RM15 (approx S$6), and it comes with a box of pop corn, a packet of chips and a regular drink. For RM1 more, we will get to use the OSIM massage chair for an all-new movie experience! Too bad only 10 chairs are available each time. We gotta try all movies till we get one! Maybe that's the reason why we watch one movie a day. lol.
Quoted Yahoo Movies: For generations, the secret service has always been responsible for protecting the emperor, where 12 agents are assigned to bodyguard duty. Among the current group, Zero Zero Dog (Louis Koo) is considered to be the weakest as he shows no interest in the martial arts and spends his time studying technology and coming up with scientific inventions. When Dog uncovers an evil plot to kill the emperor by the chief eunuch, Cao Yan Chui (Fan Siu Wong), he decides to eliminate the enemy himself.
It was unfortunate that Singapore doesn't show this film. Even if it does, it'd be translated into Mandarin. What a disappointment.
Finally, blogger stops that shit - pictures uploaded now.
Day 2 includes a visit to KL city center. First stop was Times Square, then followed by the shopping malls around Bt Bintang like Lot 10 and Sungei Wang.
