Finally, after days and nights of restless soul, my workload came almost to a halt. For the whole weekend I've been working like hell, occasionally releases stress with games as companion. Most of the team members were with me. Three cheers for the thoughtful us! Just today, we've completed ICTSCM E-commerce implementation report at 1730hrs when the dateline was 1659hrs. I would say, a job greatly done, but no pat on the back. I would expect not an A, but maybe a B or C cos there isn't much 'meat' in it. Due to? Last minute 'implementation'. Phew..
So we're now left with IB presentation, where the report has been handed up weeks ago. Thurs will be the end of everything! Except for sem exams... five papers to sit for, in two weeks. Sigh...
Today - a great day ended up with burning thoughts. I was thinking thoroughly about something while onboard the train from Yishun. And I stormed through...
"We're who we are in the league of our own - to each is own."
Who doesn't know? But one more thing...
"Competition holds the value for which we obtain victory by surpassing the benchmark of our own. This is value."
The true value of competition is what we can learn at the end of the day. Surpassing our own capability is what lies behind the true value of competition. Compete by oneself, for yourself and within, yet not without. It is dire. No point crossing the mark when at the end you find yourself at nowhere here nor there, and end up crawling back for milk.
Really, I still don't know how hell the train inspired me with these valuables. It was on my way back home from my grandma's house. I shall, rather, start off the story of today...
As usual I dreaded myself away from my cosy bed and off for school. It was 8.30am and class supposed to start at 9. So, chicholokio I got down to the bus stop and saw a cab waiting there. Ok! I decided to take and $17.30 brought me to school in 20mins, and it was a toyota wish! But hell, only to have realised the lab session has been changed to 10am. What the, I really thought I'd gotten to his class early the first time and also last. This week being the last week for the sem. Who knows, I got there really early, together with about 6 other victims!! Lesson started and then I continued with projs and more projs. I missed the last GSCM and EFMA lectures just to complete them. Oh heaven, in the end I went for a sun tan by the pool. !! wk and da were there swimming, so I took the chance for a 'sun' break.
1730hrs I left school and hurried to chinatown to buy a new tripod, rushed for fear it would close ops and I would not get one in time. But who knows the friend quit her job already, so no discount. Plus, there were only one type. Yacks! Thank goodness she told me City Hall's Cathay photoshop (the largest scale in sg i think) and I stormed there via MRT for fear it would close shop too. I stood at the concourse of Dhoby Ghaut station feeling a little lonesome and twisted my fingers for the closing time info on my ipod. Really appreciative, this poddy has helped me countless times whenever i needed help. 7Pm. half hr more before I can't do anythin! so MRT one stop and crazied across the 6-lane road. Got to peninsular pizza-plaza, and ok settled! It can be repaired, so the person took it and got it fixed with a spare part. A small plastic handle in China costs about $1 minus all freight costs and here, it was $20! No discount somemore! Ok no choice. 20 only? Give him la!!!! thank goodness it is repairable, if not another set of the same would have cost $148. dA wants to pay me back $20. Lol! "Dont pay me la, you helped me set up for filming i havn thank u. Had i bought the $148 set only maybe I'll get $10 from u. lol."
So walked all the way from there to plaza sing. Yes walked, i really enjoyed the scenery of the civic district. I wanted to take a train one stop back to Dhoby one, but concession wouldn't be enough for my return trip home. So then decided to take a bus. Chased for bus 175 and with just few more steps, mr captain drove it off. Fumingly startled totally. Flagged down 136, 64, 131 ...... much to my frustration, in my sweaty and smelly red shirt, before I decided to give in to my very own legs. Walked by and through the SMU and the feeling was like 'how I wish I could study here in time to come'. Really, my whole body turned green (...as if) as much the beautiful street landscape when i see bunches and crowds of the students walking around. ... LOL.
Again, I day dreamt until one chilli Ferrari nearly (NEARLY) kissed my butt with an IMPACT while I crossed the junction. Ok leh, nothing happened to me, just felt so restless why didn't the Ferrari did so, at least it's a Ferrari ok! Not any toyotas. And even the honk sounded so nice lah... Till I nearly turned red, red and more red! (red shirt, red Ferrari, then the pool of blood). So, found wk and da at arcade in PS and they were playing silent hill again! That was while I enjoyed watching. Blah blah blah, then I hurried off to Yishun. Daiso's oolong tea was nice!
Saw the whole sequence? Went to my grandma place to return the tripod to aunt and from then, is when I gave myself the honour to realise the 'burning statements' hahaha. Maybe it doesnt really matter.
Immediately blogged the moment i got bathed. And it is quite interesting to note that actually, i do have visitors from canada, iran and korea! Maybe scary? hahah. No la. World without boundaries ok! Hey friend, welcome!
Seriously, i feel so skinny now after long walks and sprints. Plus and indefinite flame of thoughts. Smile! Next stop, Dreamlands. Thank you for travelling with pocolento. Good night =)

Grrr...
Today supposed to go grandpa house. Haven't been going to his house for quite some time already. Feel bad ok. Sad. No time in the beginning. But in the end. Went to watch movie! Wad a grandson.
Money no enough 2. Haha is the word. Albeit not a word. Haha. It's just plain funny and as usual, jack's movie contains political-humour. This time, he showed a 'virtual street demonstration' about ERP. I think it's purely a movie-version of a real protest. There's also a 'We're Singapore' national song sang in Hokkien. Very funny and creative! Good job, Mr Neo! You spoke our hearts out. Midway through there's a very touching family issue that, too, very well reflected our Singapore's way of handling family problem. Yet another clap... Cry cry cry... Many sponsors' adverts though. Like OCBC, Singtel, and Mitsubishi Electric.
So for today's intake i had subway as snack and KFC as dinner. Grrr. KFC again. Just couldn't control my diet.. Grrrr.....
When will the next revolution for a 'dieted' me starts??? I mean rev-solution. How to kick start. Boom Boom! Help!

Phonetic System Practice
Found out an interesting stuff.
Memory : Phonetic System Practice We have learned how the Phonetic Mnemonic System can be used to remember words, concepts, dates, numbers, and more. The only drawback to this system is that it takes a little time to learn. Let's practice! If you need to look at the chart a few times, go ahead.
Translate these numbers into their equivalent phonetic words:
99 = puppy
8 = ?
92 = ?
334 = ?
70 = ?
73914 = ?
Now, translate the following words into their equivalent numbers:
Try = 14
Meadow = ?
Lodge = ?
Practice = ?
Elbow = ?
Chocolate = ?
(Answers: Fee, piano, memory, kiss, computer, 31, 56, 94710, 59, 6751)
See below for chart.
_________________________________________________________
The Phonetic mnemonic system is similar to the Peg system in that it uses words to represent numbers so that you can recall items non-sequentially. It is more difficult to learn than the Peg system, but once mastered, it will allow you to remember much longer lists (the Peg system has difficulty for numbers over 20).
Whereas the Peg system translates numbers into words by using rhymes, the Phonetic system uses sounds. Each digit from 0-9 is represented by a unique sound.
0 -- z, s
1 -- t, d, th
2 -- n
3 -- m
4 -- r
5 -- l
6 -- j, sh, ch, soft g
7 -- k, q, hard c, hard g
8 -- f, v
9 -- p, b
You can then translate numbers into words by combining these sounds. Notice how only consonant sounds are used. Any non-used sounds (including all the vowels) are irrelevant. They are simply there to help construct the word. For example, the number 29 might be represented by the word 'nap' (n=2 and 9=p). The number 99 could be represented by 'puppy', 'papa,' or 'baby.' You can use the word 'tie' for the number 1.
Use these constructed keywords to make your visual associations and you will be able to recall items in any order.

Super Sunday
Today was awesome! Though it was just any usual Sunday, I just love it. Haha! In the morning, I woke up feeling fresh. But one thing bad was that I had to dread my sickening soul to work. Had some pushups and finally, I told myself: Wow, nice start. So perhaps, or truly, I haven’t had any pushups lately, if not just a few. Had a few sip of milk and cookies and I set off to work.
Day 2 at work
5 Lock Road. That's the place. Come'on it must be the 5th safest place. Haha! Brazil Churasco. Ended up in the same network again. Few months back, I worked at Seven on Club, Club Street, at Raffles Place. I escaped the other outlet at 6th Ave, who knows I’m so sway can’t skip working here. Nonetheless it was really a good experience, with wonderful atmosphere and good people. Very high tech kitchen bigger than one typical three-room flat. So, it was their official opening day! Congratulations...! It’s really a BAR...! 3rd outlet by the same group of bosses, and the newest restaurant features white-and-orange coloured theme – everything from the wall, tables and chairs, to the decor. A wonderful improvement from the previous ones, I realized. Imagine a place that can seat 100 pax and still allows ample spaces for its staff to wonder about freely. That's call BIG. Because big is beautiful. Muahahaha. Like shit...
Handphone at work
I worked. In contrast, my U700 is being worked on. I sent it for repair on Thurs for the same old tales and hopefully I can get it back completely functional (or shiny who knows). So without this live support system I can’t live life to the fullest. I enjoyed working in the beautiful restaurant, yet silly-ly could not snap any picture. You know how hopeless was I?? No photos only potatoes. Si gin nah. I had balls and balls of baby potatoes until bloated and still not a single photo. Sick. Damn.
Home sweet home
Knock off! 6pm and I left the restaurant. I simply enjoy walking in such an environment lah – deserted lanes in a lush tropical setting, and with the companion of a few occasional houses, cars and people made the journey less lonely. Bunch of birds flew pass and that set my thoughts wondering around and away - to a dream far-away island from a bird’s eye view, where everything is mine, minE, MINE!!. My QashQai was there. One lady waved at me and just then a coconut fell off its tree. Ouch! But still, the dream was great and relaxed until one car swift passed me, only then realized I was there – bus stop. By then, I was preparing for a good nap once I got onboard the bus. Just so dead and beat. By the way, the coconut and lady were in the dream still. Here I come!
Simply a relaxed Sunday, minus those physical strains I got from moving around non-stop from working. Here I come, lady!

Blogger or Blogging?
So sick of blogging already. Final entry. No more. So sick. And tired.
Umpteen times I thought, that I said 'this would be my last time making new entries'. I continued anyway. For so many times before. So don't trust me. Ok?
Lotsa topics to talk about! But I think just by saying how much I hated blogging for the time being makes up one post. Smart eh? opps.

So today, Teacher Me is not going to teach you econs. Rather, blogging trend! Like the business cycles, we bloggers follow a similar pattern. There'll always be a fall in interest to blog after a hitting a peak. And when you fall till the trough, you'll either abandon it for awhile, or close it indefinitely. Some people may change your blog skin. Cos you're real tired of the appearance of it. So after you get in contact with things of your interest (called 'stimuli') you'll restart blogging, and from there it continues. Back to the 'recovery' phase and peak.
Interesting huh! Ask me why? I'd want to ask you.

Be Happy
Today, Chet sent me another email. It reads:
Today we turn to Arnaud Desjardins,who writes...
This week, focus on being happy.
To do that, take three or four long, slow, deep breaths,focus on the pauses between breaths, and feel yourconsciousness shift to that still, quiet, happy placewithin each of us.
Isn't it amazing how much happier you can be when you turnyour attention inward?

Nissan Qashqai

New Nissan QashQai (Pronounced as 'cashkai') is the first Nissan to be designed and made in the EU, and finally it has arrived in Singapore! Dreams aside, it doesn't concern me whether it is here anyway. But I just like the style - SUV-like boldness, premium look, wow! "Engaging cockpit design, smooth handling and a comfortable ride make the QASHQAI feel more like a sport sedan." At least S$85k, I think it will continue to be a dream.

Pocolento Blows A Candle!
At last, Pocolento blows its first ever candle!
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Poco.. A.. Poco .......
Happy Birthday to you!
However you sing it it's ok! It's just a way to recognise the presence of this blog! I've had quite a number of blogs, but all of them had only little number of completed posts. One of them was specially made for a person whom I had special feeling for. The others were simply just blogs as they are. So I guess Pocolento will have a long live! As a cybergift for little poco, here's a special birthday post! If you want to give him a gift of heart as well, you may click on the left ad and visit the site! (hehehe)
So for the last 365 days, I've created 73 entries. These 73 entries weren't here just as they did. I spent time and effort, ok! So let's pick out what's worth mentioning:
Top 10 Most Memorable Posts
Here are the top 10 most memorable posts. They're not ranked, so every post is just as worthy to remember. And those entries that are not chosen here don't mean they're bad or not memorable but, well, just that these are the MOST memorable!
Happy Fathers' Day (View)
Just recently, my family and I went to celebrate Fathers' Day at Marche. Had a great meal and also, enjoyed a great created scene. A couple, who had left an abundance of food on their table during their buffet session and left for good, got scolded by the restaurant's manager. Interesting yea? But what's more interesting in the post is that - at the begining of the post there're a few short paraphrases that described my joy of being the first-time owner of the new Chevrolet - somehow got misunderstood by really many friends who questioned my ability, while others blinked again and again the green, green eyes.
Perhaps they didn't understand this 3rd para - ...in greatness and fanfare, which no doubt... has nullified all the aforementioned inverted facts in the statement full of prevarication given my current state and capacity in apparency. I shall once again introduce to you the new Chevrolet NA a.k.a the Chevrolet N/A. I saw at a huge mall btw. I shall now disect them.
nullified all the aforementioned inverted facts - All lies!
in the statement full of prevarication - All lies again!
given my current state and capacity in apparency - My financial ability as a student, how far can it go?
Chevrolet N/A - N/A = NOT APPLICABLE
I saw it at a huge mall! - should i also explain this?
So now may I have the honour to declare - I ain't the owner! Phew...
Trip to Genting Highland(View)
A recent trip to Genting with my parents in May 08. Nice video!
Botak Jones (View)
This was my first time dining at Botak Jones and I didn't really find it good, probably because of the sickness the 0.5KG of beef gave me. Someone even called these three patties 'a pile of poo'.
Labrador's And My Unique Visitors(View)
Trip to Labrador Park at Pasir Panjang for an overnight camp with fellow khakis. A memorable local vacation! Plus an introduction of the voices behind the MRT announcements and some artistic photographs.
1998 2008 9808 (View)
Why all numbers? Come, let me explain.
1998 and 2008 are the years and 2008 being this year, 1998 is of course exactly ten years ago. So 9808 was used to contrast the ten-year period. Partly, the usage of numbers comes from the idea which created the movie '881'. Quite a special post, cos' quite emo yea? All about childhood. Do read it!
New Hairstyle, Somehow (View)
I went for a haircut that morning and had expected a new hairstyle, which later turned out to be of otherwise - not much of a change. Then later, while on my way to other places I met a blind man with a stick who later, surprisingly, showed me the directions when I, a tall man without the stick, should be the one doing it.
Meat Your Meat, Anyone? (View)
I had a day of vegetarian diet which I had long ago wanted to have, just that I lacked commitment. So a very special day to commemorate. But sadly, after this day I've never given myself another chance to the next vege-day. But having done so for once, I have ever since, notably, been consuming less of meat items. Yes, much less.
This effort comes by the fact that our poor animals are really suffering, and they will forever be. I just don't agree that human beings think we have the RIGHTS to eat them. Just a privilege. We fear slashes on our throats and so will they. Everyone feels the pain just as we do. What's more, they suffer more than just these slashes, but during and throughout their lives in the cages. So at our part, let's appreciate ok? If you can't skip.
A Trip To USA(View)
For the first time, i had a trip to USA! But before you start your green eyes rolling, let me tell you a fact: It's a virtual trip!
So literally (and virtually) I became the character, CJ (herein 'I'), in the game, GTA san andreas. I drove quite some luxury cars to wherever furthest the map allowed me to do so. There were many places of interests that you may want to see. Though it's a virtual tour, I enjoyed! You too, I hope.
NDP NE Show 3 (View)
For the first time, I volunteered to become a Bay Ambassador for the NDP 07. During the rehearsals, I went to many primary schools on different saturdays and escorted them to the venue. So for this school, Grace Orchard, the students are ain't any normal counterparts. They are mildly disabled. More memorable was that they could relate to you very well although I was just by their sides for less than half a day. It's the hearts that did the trick, I thought.
NDP 2007 (View)
Actual day of NDP after so many rehearsal (more than 5). I would say dealing with the public was much more difficult that those cheeky little P5 children. Every little nuts could well become their main subject for complaints, frustrations, and grudges. All these, however, had turned out to be a good experience (once-in-a-lifetime perhaps) with all the fellow bay ambassadors. Our fun never ends, but sadly, our ties did.

Happy birthday, Pocolento!

Someone's Attached...
Wa! Oh oh...
This post isn't about anything sour but just full of best wishes but, frankly and however, a little bit of anger. Haha!
So somebody, or rather two people, now becomes one! And, this is not the main point actually, but just that, we're kept in the dark until sunrise! Haha! Ok lor, liddat lor. Future eye for an eye might do the trick huh!
Laugh out loud.

Highway Nightmare
8 September 1997
This is an interesting version of an old urban legend. At least I though it was interesting. Along the North-South highway in Malaysia, there are various spots marked with sign alerting drivers of crosswind. The dual carriageway is one of the world's most advance expressway and hence, when designing it, one would assume that the planners would not have built it with crosswind sections. The expressway is open for 24 hours and thousands of vehicles use it everyday. However, there is hardly anyone who has seen the wind indicator marking the presence of such claimed crosswind.
I found out later that these sections are actually black spots for 'mystery accidents'. As all these sections are neither winding nor slippery, the authorities could not find any explanation of those accidents. A study revealed that those areas are either cemetery sites of the local tribe before the highway was built, or they were the so-called 'dark' areas by the local tribes. Therefore, those crosswind warnings were put up just to warn drivers so that they are more alert and careful as they were driving along those stretches, especially at night since the highway is not lighted.
None of the accidents are, however, worth mentioning here. No one has ever reported seeing a ghost or spirit driving them away from their senses or any sort of unexplained phenomena happening there. Nevertheless, there is an incident that happened on the highway that has caught the attention of a lot of people. This incident does not happen along any of those crosswind sections but, instead, near the tunnel on the northern section of the highway.
Before approaching the tunnel, drivers will go through highly areas with the hill on one side and a sharp cliff on the other. The sharp bends caused the authorities to put the speed limit down to 80kmph (110kmph for most of the highway). This story went public the first time when someone called in to the radio during a ghost story programme. What make this story even more interesting are the several calls later from witnesses and relatives to verify that the story is true.
The incident happened on a Malay couple with a small baby. They were driving along the expressway on a late night. It must have been past 2am then and there aren't many private cars at those hours. As they got near the tunnel, their car broke down. Perhaps it is the hilly road, which put a lot of stress on the car, that caused the car to broke down more than anything else. The man stopped his car along the emergency lane and got off the car to see if there was anything he could do. His wife was sitting at the back of the car with their baby then. He got off the car, opened up the engine and apparently was doing something there. The wife just waited in the car with their baby since she is the type of people who has the slightest idea about cars. As the engine cover was turned up, the lady could not see what her husband was doing in front.
Then, there was no noise at all. She started to get worried. Perhaps more worried about not being able to get out of there than if there would be anything wrong with her husband. Then the baby started crying. She carried her up and tried to calm her down. However, the baby kept crying and crying. Afterwards, she noticed two police cars drove by. They slowed down as they past her. As she thought they would stop, the police cars suddenly sped off. Then she heard a shrieking break of the police cars ahead. Apparently, the police stopped their cars under the lights of the tunnel about 100 metres ahead. Then, she started hearing the policemen shouting at her. They shouted at her and asked her to get out of the car and run towards them. She got panic upon hearing that. Then, worry about her baby's and her own safety, she grabbed her baby, got out of the car and started running as fast as she could towards the policemen.
As she was running, they kept shouting at her to hurry and asked her not to look back. As she almost got to where the policemen were, she suddenly thought of her husband. She turn her head back to take a look while continued running. To her horror, she saw three 'pontianak' with lots of blood on their mouth. She saw one of them holding her husband's head and licking off the dripping blood while two others were busy sucking the blood from the man's body.
Two policemen, fearing that she may stop running upon seeing that, rushed to her and dragged her into one of the police car. They shot off as fast as they could after that. Seven policemen witnessed this incident. When the police got there, the man was lying there headless and 'bloodless'. The police, after interviewing the widow and the seven policemen who witnessed the incident, decided to close the case. In the radio programme, someone called up later to say that he was one of the policemen there at that time while another called up claiming to be the victim's uncle. He said he refused to believe the story and had applied for the case to be reopened for investigation. He believes it was a murder case. Another caller said his sister, the widow, was distressed after the incident and he appealed to all listeners to believe that the story is true and be more careful on the highway.

Ain't Well
Um.. Feeling a little odd recently. Health is at stake i guess? I have this fresh feeling that some illness will break out. Fresh yet frosty, being stucked between the black and the white, or grey - an area of ambiguity. What's on? or wrong? 6th sense, I guess.
AHCB's going to re-open soon! Three cheers! At least all the past efforts, together as one, make its comeback and thrive again. Thanks to Shuqin:) Three cheers!
There's supposed to be a private concert this sept at Singapore Conference Hall. Yes supposedly, so, whoever has received the info from me can now drop the idea. We'll co-perform with them next year instead. Smile ;|
So... Lots of things have happened recently. Not as in the word 'happen' means anything bad, but just so happen that they were real bad. Just the feeling, I guess. It's the 6th sense I guess. Will something collapse on me tomorrow? Will there be? Or just a pile of cash? I'll become wealthy then. I guessed.
A post full of guesses. Noticed? I guess so.
Haha! Happy birthday, Mr yeow chong.
Next stop, Zoo! (I didn't guess this)

And Down
I can't believe it, tell me i am dreaming that we are still we.
It was amazing said you were lucky that you found me.
It was on a rainy day that we met, you didn't have a place to go.
As we just met so lets go slow but no you just told me to keep you from the cold
Sorry i can't take it, why you fake it, why did we kiss.
And i'm just down, you've left me with a note and without a sound.
I've figured i must stop being such a child. You'll never know how much i've been around.
How my heart just frowns on your down
I'll be your teddy bear, i'll be your cloud, i'll take round and round
And if you don't mind i could be your standing ground
Even if that means i'll drown.
As we just met so lets go slow but no you just told me to keep you from the cold
Sorry i can't take it, why you fake it, why did we kiss.
And baby that will be my one last vow

I'm Band Aged
I'm downright missing band. After the few days of indulgence in music I find myself still there after five days. So, as the title shows, I'm injured cos i'm missing band. People call this... some sick. love sick. Don't know what and why. I just know I'm missing band.
Went over to YouTube and searched lots of songs that we've played during THE PAST. So I intend to showcase other people's works as free contents for my blog. Haha! Enjoy!
The King Across The Water
Fire Dance
Blue Ridge Saga
Lord of the Dance
Digital Prism
In the Winter of 1730
Pirates of the Carribean
The Tempest
These are the only few that I could find in band setting. :)

Top Five Best Places To Get Recharged
Following the recent article about it on Newman mag, I've come up with a complimentary version on WHERE you can actually go to take a free or low-cost, yet comfortable short nap while on the go (without people giving you that strange stare).
I think these are best options with best possible privacy.
5 - Parks
Totally FOC, you can put your mind completely at ease if you're the kind of people who is not allergic to the elements, like rain or some black-and-white droppings. Some green. The benches can be used to sit upright (or even lie down cos who cares!) and dose off rightaway.
Ups: Free, fresh air.
Downs: Exposed to elements, can be uncomfortable, no aircon.
4 - Singapore Flyer
Fly into the sky, right from beside the bay and around the rocketed buildings. All these while asleep. Sounds good? With a cabin totally for yourself, it does! You won't get any uneasy stare from the two neighbouring capsules too - they'll just be as engrossed as you do, but at the sceneries instead. It can be considered a splurge if you're just there to nap, though.
Ups: Complete privacies, Air-conditioned, quiet.
Downs: Downright expensive, too bright (even at night), no curtains, only 45mins.
3 - Bus/MRT Ride
Quite a hassle-free option if you're really desperate for an instant recharge. You pay at most $2 for a good good sleep - all in air-conditioned comfort! For bus, choose those services that loop at somewhere so the driver will not get the chance to wake you up anytime soon. If you think bus ride is not for you, MRT is much better. For a smooth sound sleep, hop onto any train because most trains run from end to end for hours. Just choose the long line for a long sleep, short ones likewise for a quick nap. Don't worry about the cost - you'll, at the most, get fined only $2 for exceeding the time limit!
Ups: Economy, Air-conditioned, own-time-own-target.
Downs: Motion-sickness, may get lost if you're not location-savvy, train may end service just when you're in your sweetest dreams.
2 - Cinemas
There are a number of cinemas in town area which offer a range of services - from normal cinemas to gold class ones. The Cathay at Dhoby Ghuat offers excellent theatres at a price that matches. The Picturehouse offers seats that you'll for sure feel very much at home, or even in business-class airlines. Golden village at Vivocity has the Europa and Gold Class theatres. Similar to the former, they can also offer good rest at reasonable prices. If you can't sleep there cos you're a avid movie lover who can't move your eyes an inch off the screen, then get a boring show instead - to aid you into your dreamland!
Ups: Posh and comfortable seats, accoustic setting, 'movie-on-demand', reasonable prices (for normal ones).
Downs: Relatively high prices(for others). Scary sounds (if in a paranormal film)
P.s.: Just don't get spotted for snoring!
1 - Super Class Hotel ('s Restroom)
Yes, here you go. Most right-minded people who want a quick nap wouldn't check into a five- or six- stars hotels because of price factor. But we can get an equally good rest in them - the toilets. I'm not joking! Turn the gold-plated door nob and hide into a cubicle. Most of them have burning scented essential oils, clean fresh towels, and classy decors. Some even have Better than your homes I guess. For example The Fullerton and The Marriott.
Ups: Free(!), posh, water supply, 'loo-on-demand', soothing essential oil.
Downs: It's toilet, boy. Pray hard there's nobody 'detoxifying' near or next to your cubicle!
I think these are best options with best possible privacy.

Band Camp
Uhoo! Band camp has just ended with victory. Why so? Most of the games and events planned were well executed which I saw no potential failure, for they were the hard works of the first-time organisers.
But sadly, many junior campers didn't like nor enjoyed the show. I'm super duper-ly sure the committee members' have had their emotions completely showered down the moment they heard the ugly responses towards the end of the camp. I think they're just too ignorant to appreciate these three-quarter background work, and the one-quad foreground work. What they saw were really what they were seeing. So... Perhaps these juniors ought to perform the same or even better when their time comes. Of course, there are people out there whom have enjoyed themselves!
WTF!!!
Ok, I didn't mean to say that but!! Someone actually has got FAN CLUB!!! Ahh!! Lol. Read to truly understand...

So many blogs. So many words. But all they talked is about a guy call.... Tan Weida. haha! let's go back band soon for a bang!
Trombone Section
It's my beloved section whom I, in fact, couldn't really relate with until Day 3 when I dragged the juniors out for a sectional training. Chuan Kai and Pei Xiang the seniors; jun hui, claudia, carinne... and sorry! I can't recall the names already. You've worked hard. Keep it up!
Just a few words for these people...
To The Committee...
We did not know how much the efforts you've put into until we scratch off the surface. We knew that most of you took passion to drive the team. Frankly, this was not something seen from anytime before the camp. As your senior, we understand how difficult it is to plan a good camp, leave alone the implementation and execution parts. I'm glad that almost all activities planned were well executed. I can't say it was a perfect camp, but as your first time, what I can say is that you've done above standard. In fact, no camp is perfect because everybody feels satisfied at a different level. Don't get too affected by the responses, though it could well be an unfair yet a good judgement. All these said because you can do better. Whoever has worked hard you'd have gotten some good comments from me. Don't end here, see what post-camp activities you can do to strengthen the ties established during the camp between everyone!
To The Bandies
Hi ho! Welcome onboard, the new sec ones! You've come upon a fun journey even we, as the alumni, find it still as fun even after graduation numerous years ago. Count yourself lucky to have arrived in this band - a band with quite some good history. The rest of the members, I could see you've enjoyed yourselves! We got to know one another shortly after the first few games. And the games planned were fantastic. For those who thought or said otherwise, my only advise is that YOU OUGHT TO perform a better job next time. Having said that, i'm saddened when all of you DID NOT even show a word of gratitude (or thank you) to these people behind the entire camp. I'm sure they're dead sad. Appreciate ok?
Don't feel bad about the band music exchange incident. Remember, don't take it as an embarrassment, but a stepping stone to go higher. We, for once or more, had failed during our time in band, and from them we learnt how to overcome fear and confidence grew. Of course, all improvements will require perseverence, for which perseverence yeilds success! We the Alumni came here this way, and I suppose you can do that too. It's no doubt a good guage as to where you are standing, face the fact and from there I can then believe your future will be brighter. From now on, work hard, and quickly ask for another exchange program to challenge yourself! Innitiatives rule...
To play well as a band, you need the spirit! The band spirit, you know? Cos' no man's an island! Especially in band, it wouldn't be called a band if there's only one person.
Now I can see potential in some of the members whom, however, I can't name! The band will depend on you gradually to perform a better show. We the alumni will return as frequent as our schedules permit, and as long as YOU want us to be back! Some sections even have got some own 'fan clubs' with an alumus or two whom I shan't name for some privacies! It's a good sign though. What you can learn from us, please do. Conversely, what we can learn from you, we will. The most crucial factor is - THE WILL TO LEARN. In many other schools, the students and the alumni play a much important role to build up a band called OURS. Let's hold our hands together and collectively call this band yours - even after graduation, like us! =)
Phew... After some time we finally see a brighter glimse of light at the end of the railroad. Work hard!
Write-A-Note!
Band juniors if you happen to see this sentence, write a short note to your committee and let them know how much and what you've learnt and enjoyed, Ok? And give an apology note to Mr Ong stating you all will work harder. They'll appreciate for sure, or even get teary!
Keep in touch! zhenyu13_@hotmail.com email or msn me.
