Happy Fathers' Day

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, with the purest pride and at utmost faith and beyond I shall now broadly announce the new Chevrolet belongs truly to my possession...

It's my car. New car given by nicest daddy though you're the one and only. I like merc, but Chevrolet is equally good. It makes me feel so great. Daddy will drive it till I got my license slated to be gotten by Sept if I don't fail. It's just a feeling so great. It was delivered right before my very eyes...

...in greatness and fanfare, which no doubt... has nullified all the aforementioned inverted facts in the statement full of prevarication given my current state and capacity in apparency. I shall once again introduce to you the new Chevrolet NA a.k.a the Chevrolet N/A. I saw at a huge mall btw.

Today, and here the interesting story goes, had been fun and filthily exciting. Why so? It had been fun because, uhha, it's FATHERS' DAY. At Marche, my sister and me had a whole lot of wonderful food with the entire family. Sounds big, though as usual only the four of us. Ok, it's dad's first time, cos he just hate mushrooms.

The day of excitement didn't just end here with the fact that, filthy was the word mentioned. On the table next to us sat a couple, middle-aged, one seemed local and plum, and were enjoying their 'Brunch' buffet promotion. Innitially an envy of ours, which later turned sour. They had rounds and rounds of 'collections' and the two-person-sized table was at no exageration full of food, food and food. Later, to our suprises and many other diners around alike, witnessed the owners-of-the-grandfathers-of-the-world leaving the table. Yes, all food remained there, and still fresh. We though we could only see people's head turning side to side and the usual 'tsk tsk tsk' by people far more appreciating, like, me (and family).

Just then, a manager, an ang-moh middle-aged strong-built, went over there and sigh. He really sighed! I guess he could have gotten too disappointed over such wastage, or rather an insult to the restaurant. So the busybody people, also like me (and surely family) quickly vacate our seats and oh ha ha, here the story goes...

'At the checkout area, the botak ang moh scolded them. You're damn right, yes, he scolded! Not in a tone so fierce but so firm that have left the couple explaining what's going on without a sign of frustration. I guess that's the power of such people (based on the perception of the whole world).

It went something like this:
"Why did you leave so many uneaten food behind?! It's such a wastage."
"We're very full."
(one looking innocent, and the man, was getting frustrated but still silent)
"Full? I saw you walking around so many times and took three times the XXX.
"Why did you still take when you're already full?"

I couldn't really recall what did they said after that, during part 1 of 3. He meant that he eats buffet and paid the money for it already. He apologised by saying 'i'm sorry' to the manager and from then, the silence broke after the manager turned around and off. Shouting at the poor miss cashier whom I guess he knew she didn't have much power, he said he was the king, because he is the customer, and he pays to be a customer. Second part:

"I paid mun-neey!
"I'm cust-termo! (Deliberate error to reflect his foreign accent, refering to 'money' and 'customer' respectively). Cust-termo is king, right? I paid for the food!
"I'm very angry!" (x 3)

While I was busy snapping pictures at the same time trying not to be obvious, dad broke into laughter and openly criticised them loudly in the conversation to mum.

"Aiyo. (...evil laughs...)
"Still got the cheek to get angry, and there telling people you're angry."

Whatever or ever father like son, or son like father, it just doesn't matter because I just think it's funny. To add on, he's there telling people he's very angry when apparently he's trying cover up his TOTAL GUILT. I think the fact that they were full is just that THEY ARE FOOL! The drama got really really exciting and drew 'similar' watching crowds.

In drawing conclusion, he in the end still paid the price he got to pay, not anything more. All of the sudden I felt like the world becomes too fair for good. In commercial or industrial practice, usually one will not be charged (in momey terms) for wastage unless in certain buffets. Even in those buffets which state clearly they will charge, most would rather not do it for the sake of GOODWILL. So these practices lie on the bottomline of 'the power the money'. Money big deal is it? Yes it tells us all. The two couple in the whole drama stood at the cashout counter for at least 20 minutes, and fair enough, we enjoyed it all. While I consider this as NOT FAIR, somehow, I thought it gets fairer whenever I review those photos captured. Judging from the look and conversation style of the man, to my opinion, he may post this incident on the net, like stomp, because he looked educated, young and general enough to belong to the 'online generation'. More so when now it is the other way around - the manager scolded customer. If there were to be a chinese dailies reporter at presence, the headline would have gone like this: “餐馆经理毒骂无辜食客”or literally "Restaurant Manager Cursed At Innocent Diner". So that is just to lament the seriousness of it in the society, but to the main point, if they were to post every single detail or partially, I'd have no choice but to use my weapon to kill them dead like almost instantaneously, with the pictures I've got to counter them! Curse me or indulge in your voodoo doll-poking, I don't care if I'm called someone who don't mind-your-own-business. I'm on the restaurant's side, though I'm only a passer-by...

Even when there's definitely nothing wrong with wasting food in the minds of many because someone has well paid good money for it, one with moral thoughts and conscience will link to and think of the preciousness of them from origin to your table and then to your stomach. Hardcore people will even think of the loo. I just want to wish very well that their future grandchildren will have more than simple bread to eat...

I call this totally an act of unethic, barbaric, insensitive and a misfortune to have them included in the society. Not at the wastage part but someone who's in the wrong got as if otherwise and made a drama out of it. And some can animals behave far better than them, like my neighbour's dogs.

Look, there's a newly ordered Ice-Cream, a 3/4 bowl of pasta, whole piece of fruit pie with fresh fruits untouched, some wraps on top-left, and bottom, almost the entire fruit creeps. Worse if I mentioned all the drinks. Yes, all were free-flow, I know.

At the cashier, both looked so tensed up.

I have to resort to reducing the size of this photo because I hope nobody will take the effort to see in detail who is the one who shot the photo.

So...

After everthing we went around and shopped at Vivocity. It was five and I left and went to Sentosa all alone to sightsee the island while waiting for yongren to be ready at 7.30. So in the two-hour period or so, I decided and took the bright-coloured buses for a joyride to kill time.

Fashion show at 2pm - Creatively Thai 2008 mini exhibition.

A great shot! Moving background, and look, who's in the mirror?

So this' the bus! Pinky... (and the drain).

What a nice evening scene. Busy crowds under the dimness conditioned by clouds and the setting sun. What's more, the lightings have created the mood. Yes, this mood.

Night, PC SHOW! Not exactly PC, cos I saw non-pc items like plasma tv, GPS gadgets, and even banks like UOB and OCBC. I got myself a cheapo deal. At $8, an SUPER ULTRA STEEL COOLING PAD became mine forever. Made-in-China.

Not to mention other insignificant stuff, I'm finally done with this super long post. Misses and good nite!

Food Expo(sed)

Amid the worldwide speculated and ongoing food crisis, here I am showcasing the essentials. But it's ok, it's mini exhibition! Some of them were cooked by myself. And these food, to you, may be wow, like a lot. But I tell you, they're only a little fraction of what I've eaten just in about the recent six months. I can't probably take all photos of every single thing I eat, right!!

Some say 'no wonder my size...' Agree! Perhaps my time of life has become the 'Time of Royalty'. At this age? Obesity comes the way man! Not even to mention the holes in the pockets.

Enjoy... (looking)

Trip to Genting Highland

Finally, I'm done with the photo-videos shot at Genting Highlands during my visit three weeks ago. I have two types; one of which is filmed, the other, made with photos. The one below is the latter, while the former is NOT YET COMPLETED due to some reasons.

So the first type has got some reasons for not finishing. Read on.

If I were to post it here now, towards the second part you will find all the subtitles missing, and that's the effect of Samsung's movie maker! Imagine I've already done the tedious effects till the last bits and suddenly, the program shut itself off. All my hardworks (or heartworks) are all gone. Subsequently, no further try was successful.

Now I understand that with Samsung, It's Not That Hard To Imagine!

Anyway...

Basically, the three days there were really fun. Weather was cold, not just cool, at 10C on one night. Bought many things like food, bag, and happiness. Most importantly, it's the experience. Though quite some areas there are unorganised and unmaintained, but it was something to be forgiven right after looking again at your country of visit. Moreover, the price paid was already enough to admit one to Sentosa and a whole day of fun. I had three, and numerous times further away.

Just watch the video and the pictures speak thousands (X hundred) of words. Enjoy as I did!

And By The Way... (Updated 3Jun08)

I've decided to publish the 'undone' video here. Please try to enjoy to the maximum, ok? Only the initial part has synchronised subtitles, the rest is purely digital video.

(Okay, I know it's really bad in quality. Stop it if you can't hang on!)

Ambition

It may well be too late for some people to talk about ambitions like at somewhere near the start of adulthood, and I seek to differ. Nothing's too late or neither is anything too early.

We the citizens of Singapore, not to pledge but we have to, at this point find ourselves railroaded since the age of 5 when you entered nursery classes. The entire problem was, I started things late and still thought it is late, instead of going anyway. So nothing was done. I know situations are changing ever since my parents' years, but I just find myself somehow a victim of the policies here. If I were to start off everything by studying music, I may be somebody perhaps at a famous land or two. One thing to note, I may not be, however. I shall now plan to proof my thoughts wrong by becoming rich. And to become rich, I have to work hard, said Daddy.

Ambitions? definitely. I want to own the largest malls and hotels in the world, by age 50. A somebody in somewhere, and not necessarily here.

And a final note: being famous or rich, or both, isn't everything. Winning is. Winning means achieving targets set by yourself for yourself. "If winning isn't everything, why do people keep scores?"

New Wrapper For You

Uhoo! Changed blog's skin again. Enjoy! See? I love Singapore. Really? Call me to find out more...

So... I have a couple of events not yet posted. Maybe two or three - Trip to Genting, attachment at SFI, and and and... etc etc. I'm still in the midst of editing the video filmed at Genting. Quite extraordinary i would say. Lookout!

Band camp's coming eh? I hope to go, and I longed to go. Let me just miserably hope to listen to one song... 'Sorry seems to be the hardest word'. If possible, let us gather a few and produce the sound of sorry. People... get and bring your passes!

Ok, people do get caught and charged for posting undesirable remarks against another race or religion. I'd better not say a thing if not everybody will see me in jail - not about it but another, I love Singapore.

A Weak Week

Hmm, as the title says, I haven't been of much strength lately. Not only in physical but also emotionally. The week is almost past without a day feeling better. But still, disregarding the fact, I won and I know I'm still on track. As always I prided myself as myself, though sadly without much.

Then, the much historic horror that was kept frozen in mind came alive, now in yet another faraway land. These images were back in vivid details, still fresh, so sad. I swear I want them frozen once again in no time.

Nothing bothers me? My foot. I'm a human after all. Only a one-year-old don't have. Though I learnt the 'First thoughts, second feelings' rule, it now came back in the way around. The perceived rational me today went otherwise. Bersek somemore.

I'm deadly. Whenever I feel this way, so this time with no exception, the amount of food I gobbled is damn alarming. Nothing beats the effect by the effort of going to gym, swim, jog, or other sports everyday. It's as though lesser income than expenditure man.

So started just this week, I have been on a juiced veg diet. Be it on a relation or not, it's not important, and what's more important is that I know i'm clearer, cleaner, for clarity purpose.

Yongren is going to NS soon. July. Wishing him well and make good use of this period. My time will come too, perhaps a worst life's nightmare I could think of. Daymare plus nightmare when i'm there. But when related to my past experiences, all I could feel is that it will turn out to be good because whenever I felt bad about something, it would sometimes turn out well. So, I shall see. It is at a section of the pipe that the water has to pass through, unless there's a leak or two and it will be a costly one.

My friends, a flash of all the fingers I see all of you. And, I can't lose any one of my fingers because I use them to play piano, to write, to cook and to work. Sometimes to point at things I love or to refer at them. I want to further the use on them on guitar, violin, and everything under the sun, in the Earth. Cos the one and only thing I know is that I will not make it Mars or Venus. I want to climb mountains, walk the silk road and cross the Suez Canal. I want them all.

Here is something to cheer on a little: I'm going Genting this Sunday. A trip to rejuvenate, also, partly to get those things frozen again. It's cold there, I hope, so to get things done. I'm going to breathe the clouds and see the birds (so strong) up there. See ya guys when you get to see me! Photos soon!

Happy Birthday The Fun Way

Just right after the celebration of my sister's birthday after adulthood, it went on, this time with ziting. And it was fun!! Read on...

It was a sunday and the entire day I spent it through in boredom, while waiting the for the damn week next to arrive; first week of fifth sem. It was officially the end off IPP (or attachment), and it just felt so great. The boredom then became nothing.

We ate Thai food at a restaurent at Sunset way. Heavenly. But don't ever try this at home. GO THERE TO TRY! 28 April 2008; Happy Birthday sis. My second visit too. Going on third.

Straight after, I rushed down to harbourfront and caught up with wd wk yr gervais and chee. Weng kin sketched a pig though it isn't really (note: not really isn't), just funny and cute, and I put on a sunglass for the pig. We were full of budget but what really happened was that we weren't full of time, that's why instead of cards we used a piece of an A4 rim. Haha!

Here we go! Sentosa, here we come! As if counterstrike we went head-on-head and pretended to be undercovers so that she will not see us. But in fact, we appeared far more outstanding. At her chalet, we lighted the 'ramen' cake and... knock knock knock! Yong ren did the task and wow, he made it so real. Then......

Video Part 1.0

Ziting enjoyed herself amid the near-to-tear situation. Muahahah! Had I not filmed these videos, you won't enjoy today. So Ziting, why asked me to stop? Thank me now!!!!

Video Part 1.1

Video Part 1.2

Video Part 1.3

So basically that's all folks!
